Multiple Liquefaction Processes
- Nitrogen expansion cycle for small-scale skid-mounted units; mixed refrigerant (MRC) cycle for higher energy efficiency in mid-to-large LNG plants
Strict Pre-treatment
- LNG feed must meet CO₂ < 50 ppm, H₂O < 1 ppm, H₂S < 3.5 mg/m³ to prevent freezing and corrosion
LNG Storage Tanks
- −162°C atmospheric pressure vacuum-insulated storage tanks with storage density ~430 kg/m³
BOG Handling
- Tank boil-off gas returned to compressors or used as fuel gas, minimizing losses
