Working Principle
-
Air Pre-treatment: Compressed air is filtered and dried to remove moisture and oil, ensuring clean gas enters the adsorption towers.
-
PSA Nitrogen Generation: Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) selectively adsorbs O₂ under high pressure and desorbs under low pressure. Dual-tower alternation provides continuous high-purity nitrogen output.
-
Nitrogen Buffer & Purification: Nitrogen passes through a buffer tank for pressure stabilization; an optional catalytic deoxygenator further reduces residual O₂ to ≤1 ppm.
-
Cryogenic Liquefaction: Nitrogen passes through a Joule-Thomson expansion valve, dropping rapidly to the liquefaction point (-196 °C). Unliquefied cold nitrogen returns through the heat exchanger to pre-cool incoming gas, forming a closed cold-energy recovery cycle to enhance efficiency.
-
LN₂ Storage & Vaporization: Liquid nitrogen is collected and stored in vacuum insulated tanks. On demand, it is vaporized via an ambient or heated vaporizer for gaseous supply, or dispensed directly in liquid form.
-
Food Freezing & Preservation
LN₂ cryogenic freezing locks in nutritional value and color; LN₂ inerting of packaging extends shelf life. -
Electronics & Semiconductor
Provides ultra-high purity nitrogen blanket; LN₂ cold traps support MBE and cryopump systems. -
Medical & Biobank Storage
LN₂ cryogenic containers preserve cells, tissues, semen, and blood samples at -196 °C for long-term storage. -
Metal Heat Treatment & Cryogenic Processing
LN₂ deep-freeze treatment (-130 °C to -196 °C) on steel and aluminum improves hardness and dimensional stability. -
Chemical & Polymer Research
LN₂ provides low-temperature cooling baths for exothermic polymerization reactors, preventing thermal runaway. -
Laser Cutting & Metalworking
High-purity nitrogen vaporized from LN₂ serves as cutting assist gas, preventing edge oxidation for clean, burr-free cuts. -
Energy Storage & Gas Cylinder Filling
LN₂ serves as a cold energy carrier for thermal storage; vaporization fills high-pressure nitrogen cylinders for off-site or mobile nitrogen supply.
